How To Make Money Blogging In 2021 That No One Is Talking About

There are many ways to make money blogging that many bloggers have succeeded at. In 2021 with the recent happenings especially with many remotely done jobs, blogging has further evolved across the sectors.

For me, since 2009 when I created my first blog, which was a copy editing and publishing blog, I have made money consistently. The reason I think of blogging in business terms could be because of the way I began. My motivation at the time was to attract to my small business at more paying clients. When my friend, Okey Azubuike showed me how powerful a blog could be in place of a regular website at the time, I took the challenge and never looked back.

My blog afforded me the opportunity to work for my first International client on her children's story. She was living in the UK at the time, and I was writing my blog promoting my services from Abuja in Nigeria.

After I began that blog, which was when I had temporarily left full time paid employment from a pension company, I still got employed in 3 other organisations while growing my blog business on the side.

I really do not know how to blog as a hobby. I know the power of blogging for customer acquisition, visibility, influence and income generation.

That is why I share from my experience of having job offers at my terms because I was already succeeding at blogging. I was preferred among talents. I quit at my terms too. By 2016, I decided for full time entrepreneurship.

From my experience, one way to make money blogging in 2021 that no one is talking about is Corporate blogging within an organization as a full time paid staff. Especially in my continent - Africa, many organisations do not include a "blog section' on their corporate websites. Those that have it, do not populate that section of the website to attract customers and generate the much needed Know, Like, Trust (KLT) factor that guarantee better sales.

While, I am passionate about showing African brands globally how they are leaving money on the table by not blogging, I know for a fact that opportunities abound for full time paid corporate blogging.

I know because as far back as between 2011-2016, I got preferred positions as Corporate communications, brand management and Media relations head, as well as Director of Operations in organisations because I understood marketing online. Blogging the organisations' services, products and ideologies was one of the biggest marketing game changers while I was there.

Today in 2021, applying, helping organizations see the potentials they have if they blog, and creating as well as executing a blogging strategy for them can pay a professional blogger well.

Many organisations, still do not know they need you but you can pitch them and make their marketing better.

Would you pitch to work within an organisation in your choice industry as a full time corporate blogger?
